join paper stories to learn the art of riso printing! you’ll get mark-making, layering and collaging to create a 2-colour riso print to take home.
what's this riso printing all about?
riso (pronunciation ree-sow), comes from the name of the risograph duplicators made in Japan since the ‘80s. it’s the big retro photocopier-looking thing in the corner of paper stories. it uses rice paper stencils and soy inks to create layered artworks, a bit like a digital version of screen printing. it’s experimental and vibrant, and once you’ve had your riso kicks, we’re pretty sure you’ll be hooked.
